We had a big day today. We started off by singing, dancing and ringing bells at the library and ended it by slamming back a few hot cocoas and eating cookies. Tis the season!!
Christmas in the Story barn is always a fun activity! How often do you get to see grown women acting like children in public? Notice how few of the children are actually dancing??
Maura and Tristan--two of the non-participators.
I was abandoned by my son in favor of Grammy. He came back to visit once, but quickly went back to her.
Come on ring those bells, Alex!
Towards the end of the story time, Santa suddenly appeared. I had kind of forgotten that very important fact and failed to prep the kids for that eventuality. Tristan quickly exited Stage Left. See him by the tree?Maura was all about Santa! I told her to get into line quickly so she could see him before she had to go to Kindergarten and she ran to the front and cozied up to Santa.
I had the great pleasure of getting to be at my girl's Christmas party. She was so excited when I got there and I'm so glad I was able to make it, despite some last minute babysitting adjustments.
Maura and Abbott
Anxiously awaiting the gift exchange. She was thrilled to get a Spongebob Squarepants Connect Four game. I quickly threw away the plastic Spongebob pieces and forbade them from putting Spongebob stickers on each and every checker.
I love that they all wore their jammies to the library!
