We had a lot of fun at the apple orchard on Maura's school night. The kids could NOT wait to get to the huge slides. I COULD NOT wait for a fried pie. Of course, I showed up without any money, just a credit card in my pocket, for a cash only event. It was almost a really bad day until I realized I could buy something in the store and get cash back. Whew! The kids loved the playground, especially the corn box, but we had some serious talks about throwing corn. I lost track of Maura for the majority of the evening as she was busy playing with friends.
We all went and got lost in the corn maze--like REALLY lost. We ended up ducking out of the maze through a bare spot in the wall of corn. It was obvious that we weren't the first to do that! Then, Maura got really lost. She pretty much flipped out. You can see the evidence in her red eyes in this photo. It was pretty amazing to me how quickly she transitioned from wailing to "Can I paint a pumpkin??" Oh, to be a child. We missed you so much. You would have had such a great time playing on the playground with the kids. I can just imagine seeing you slide down the huge slide. I love you, my love.
I love you so much and miss seeing you all. On Bennett and lingerie: he is a boy...sigh.
ReplyDeletePlease tell Mauara and Tristan and Bennett how much I love them and kiss them each day!
